The Dee Levin Collection “A Retrospective†Watercolor, Fiber Art, Paper Constructions
Dolores (Dee) Levin (1933-2008) was a well-known San Francisco artist whose work, until the 1980s, focused on weaving. She then broadened her studies into papermaking and watercolor painting. Her work was influenced by her world travels and studies in Chinese calligraphy and art. Never afraid to experiment, Dee’s work always had the stamp of her distinctive artistic originality. This collection of her work contains examples of her work which are now in the collections of her friends. Some is for sale. Proceeds from these sales will benefit the City College of San Francisco art department galleries.
