Torch Paintings by Eileen Goldenberg

JUNE 16 – JULY 1

Artist Reception is Saturday June 16 from Noon – 5:00 PM.

Eileen P. Goldenberg uses a welding torch to create her paintings that use tempered beeswax as the medium. Because the flame is so hot the artist must be very careful and focused.

Eileen’s work is minimal, abstract, and full of subtle detail and complexity. Thousands of tiny orbs of wax, at first seem to be identical, but like humans, turn out to be slightly different.

Color and translucency bring a richness and mystery to the work and add emotion. When seen in person these paintings are compelling and fascinating.

The Show may be viewed at A Woman’s Eye Gallery, 678 Portola Dr (next to the Purple Church).  Gallery Hours are Saturday and Sunday, noon – 5:00 PM and by appointment.  Eileen is available for interviews at 415-753-1233.  Please see Eileen’s work and bio at her website:  http://www.eileenpgoldenberg.com/
