the more one sees.\u00c2\u00a0 And the more one wants to paint!<\/p>\n<p>In acrylics, color pencil, watercolor and pastel, Scott and Black present variations on some of their favorite themes.\u00c2\u00a0 From gardens to abstract patterns, horizons to hearts \u00e2\u20ac\u201c they play with these ideas in all their depth and breadth, diversity and simplicity.<\/p>\n<p>Pauline Crowther Scott\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s recent series of works on paper is inspired by the leaves and flowers in her garden and nearby.\u00c2\u00a0 She uses a mixed-media and layered technique starting with a background wash of acrylics, followed by a stenciled layer, and finishes this off with color pencils to draw in the leaves and other motifs.<\/p>\n<div>Susan Black\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s new abstract paintings\u00c2\u00a0and drawings\u00c2\u00a0in watercolor,\u00c2\u00a0in pastel\u00c2\u00a0and in colored pencil\u00c2\u00a0focus on the inner landscape of the heart and the outer landscape of the horizon.<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Poetry, Music &amp;
